My friend for about 8-9 years has threaten to end our friendship if I did not read this book. I was also threaten that if I did not read this book she would then read bad comments on my blog. After she threaten our friendship as well as the clean language on my blog I realize that I had to read this book. That and it was only $4 USD Amazon Prime. Seriously, tell me the last time you bought a book on Amazon that included two days shipping for only $4 dollars? The fact is I didn’t mean to buy the book. When the internet came back on after a series of odd events through North Dakota and Midco Internet services, not only did the items on my Amazon cart vanish but they were arriving at my home in just a few days. This to the delight of my friend made her extremely happy. The fact that I own the book doesn’t always mean I’ll be able to read it. The photo that you see above is me telling her that I am finally sitting down to eat with her book close by. Well, moments after sending her that photo, Zoe (our daughter) woke from her nap after smelling food and started to eat right beside me. If you have ever seen a hungry 2 year old toddler eat, you already know it’s no place for a paperback book!
Now once again I just put my daughter to sleep. I am truly hoping that she takes a nap because I really want to read this book. If you’re like me and you have no idea who Sherrilyn Kenyon or this book is about have no fear here’s the scoop! All the information below is just copied and past from Goodreads.
Being trapped in a bedroom with a woman is a grand thing. Being trapped in hundreds of bedrooms over two thousand years isn’t. And being cursed into a book as a love-slave for eternity can ruin even a Spartan warrior’s day.
As a love-slave, I know everything about women. How to touch them, how to savor them, and most of all, how to pleasure them. But when I was summoned to fulfill Grace Alexander’s sexual fantasies, I found the first woman in history who saw me as a man with a tormented past. She alone bothered to take me out of the bedroom and onto the world. She taught me to love again.
But I was not born to love. I was cursed to walk eternity alone. As a general, I had long ago accepted my sentence. Yet now I have found Grace–the one thing my wounded heart cannot survive without. Sure, love can heal all wounds, but can it break a two-thousand-year-old curse?
Julian of Macedon
I would love to sit here and type more but Julian of Macedon is calling me! If you could choose a character from a romance book to come alive who would it be?
