Renee Ahdieh Collage
I had the pleasure of purchasing The Rose and The Dagger a week before it hit the shelves of retail stores at the RT Book Fair! Renèe Ahdieh was also kind enough to listen to how much my husband and I love her novel let alone how much I appreciate her for writing a retelling of such a misunderstood yet romantic tale of the Arabian Nights. The joy in my heart at seeing so many diverse books coming to life  with the theme of the mythology of the Middle East is heart warming.  There are so many cliché expressions that could show case how much I admire all these authors for taking a chance and telling their story, even a version of their story for new generations to admire. There is one phrase that I saw from a fellow blogger Hafash Faizal from Icey Books

Are you a fan of The Wrath and The Dawn but you’re not entire sure if you wan to take the chances of reading The Rose and The Dagger? I can completely understand this feeling because I am such a huge fan of Renèe Ahdieh’s first novel, The Wrath and The Dawn I literally had mix feelings about reading the final installment to a world I wasn’t sure I wanted to leave. Thankfully when it comes to loving a book series we can always renter the world created by our enchantress, the author.

The Rose and The Dagger  is a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, enchanting ending to Renèe Ahdieh’s first novel The Wrath and The Dawn. The love between Khalid & Shazi only seems to grow with each chapter! Love is everywhere! Everywhere I tell you!
Renèe Ahdieh has an amazing writing style creating a diverse world of engaging cultural, allowing the reader to use all fives senses while reading to have full emission of the environment our beloved characters are inhabiting.

I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars for dialogue, creative world building, character development, especially when it comes to the temper of the King of Kings! And of course the R-O-M-A-N-C-E of the novel! After reading this novel all I wanted to do is just curl up on my sofa and hug the book as hard as I possible can! Or if you’re not interested in snuggling with a book then I recommend just rereading this wonderful novel again!

Don’t forget The Rose and The Dagger is available for purchase now!
Happy Reading
