The summer is almost gone! That’s right, the summer is almost over and we in North Dakota are already feeling the temperature change as the North is preparing itself for the fall. Usually I would be crying about the fall season approaching. But I moved off base, which means I live down town Minot, which really means I’m closer to Starbucks! Oh I shall revel in the blessed joys of Fall. I’m coming for you Pumpkin Latte! Oh October I am ready for thee! A few months between me and October, but I am ready now! Honestly Rainbow Rowell said it best in her novel Attachment.
“October, baptize me with leaves! Swaddle me in corduroy and nurse me with split pea soup. October, tuck tiny candy bars in my pockets and carve my smile into a thousand pumpkins. O autumn! O teakettle! O grace!”
Let us give July a proper goodbye.
July was a very busy time period in my personal life. I’m really sad that I did not get a chances to actually review all the books that I read. The reviews that are missing for my July post are:
Have no fear they will be posted extremely soon! Here are the books that I have read and my review for them posted below! Hopefully August will be kind to me! Or at least help us with our toddler waking up in the middle of the morning raiding our kitchen like some mini shield maiden in training. This cannot be a normal process of growing! Out of all the baby books I’ve read, none to them said to expect your child to wake up in the morning, 3 am in the morning to eat dry cereal and watch infomercials! This is not normal! Let us just hope she let’s herself sleep throughout the night again so I can write more book reviews! Let us all hope!
