What I really admire about these set of books is that they are available for $3.99. They are wonderfully well written and a joy for those who are interested in having a thrilling romantic adventure in the Scottish country side. I felt that every other style and unique character development within their own romance truly complimented the different perspectives of the romantic Scottish adventures around it. Okay, that might be a little confusing so let me just say that this is a great historical romance combination that anyone including myself, am experiencing a romantic or reading withdrawal would find this set of Scottish Highland romances enjoyable.

If you’re a person who can’t read historical romance back to back because you’re reading does not depend on a heavy dosage of romance in you’re dieting this series is still great for you because you can take each and ever book in moderation. The price is down right free when you think of having so many books at such a low price, not to mention the writing is incredible. It almost feels like the authors are hardly getting paid for writing such great work in their romance genre.

I don’t want to spoil any of the novels but I would tell you that Anna Harrington novel “ A Match Made in Heather” ( the second book in the collection) was my favourite to read. The story is centred around Arabel, a daughter of a laird and Garrick, whose not wealthy or socially holding in titles. Then like all romance novels do, the two characters fell in love, but the are torn apart because of their family obligation and potential scandal. I know this story already sounds like something Shakespeare might have written many moons ago…

Now let’s flash forward ten years where we are introduced at a ‘second chance of the heart’ romance story. I love these second chance of romance stories, while I know other people might find thing cliche. But it’s a romance novel! There is not a romance novel written, published, or spoken about that is not a cliche romance in some perspective! I’m just happy to read about some characters that hold so much emotional, heartbreak, tension and suspense for one another wrapped in a small book. There are so many times someone like me, a mother and a former sexually experience can take can constantly read about virgin love. Let me take a moment rant about virgin love. Let’s just take this into perspective, most of the readers that enjoy romance novels tend to be females. I don’t know what wants to read about the most painful sexual experience to an older more experienced sexually active man. At least when you read about a second chance at move you don’t have to worry about an older man having sex with a young woman or a no experience woman. There are so many times I want to read about that. I want to read something else even though the historical romances aren’t always accurate at the best of time, but this little modern twist to a very cliche writing technique of romance novels would be appreciated. This is why I love Anna Harrington’s writing, she wrote her heart out in this small novel and every world holds the passion of someone who enjoys the art of story telling.

This collection is amazing and I’m sure you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed reading and writing this review. Now let’s be clear every story in this collection is amazing I just wanted to review the one that I felt most connected to. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t want to review the others I just didn’t want to spoil the stories for your future reading nor bore you with so much detail about each book that it made reading the book not enjoyable.
